When you first log in to your new cPanel account there may be a number of hidden files. Most of these hidden files you will probably never need or use, however, some such as the .htaccess file can be very useful.
Follow these steps to view hidden files in cPanel File Manager:
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Click on File Manager under the Files section.
- Navigate to the top right hand corner and click on Settings.
- A popup will appear allowing you to select your preferences. Click on Show hidden files options and click save.
You will now be able to see any hidden files under all File Manager directories and folders.
