How to change the WordPress admin password?

The easiest way to change your WordPress admin password is through the admin area. Follow these steps to change the password in just a few clicks.

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin area.
  2. Find Users from the lest hand menu and select Profile.
  3. Scroll down to the Account Management sections and click on the Set New Password button. This will automatically create a strong password. You can use this or create your own.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Update Profile.

After changing your password you may be logged out of the admin area and would have to log in again using the new password you have just created.
